Who we are

This website is operated by M.A.G. Rendering Ltd, which trades as MAG Homes. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and to design a system for your property. That is:

Postcode	Same. We use it to check we cover your area and to estimate solar yield
The estimate you were shown	If you used the savings calculator before enquiring, the figures it produced are attached to your enquiry so we do not have to ask you to repeat them
Property details	Only if you give them to us during a survey or by message

The savings calculator itself runs entirely in your browser. Moving the sliders sends nothing to us. Nothing leaves your device unless you submit a form.

Why we hold it, and our lawful basis

• To answer your enquiry and arrange a survey. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To design, quote and deliver an installation. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• To meet our obligations under MCS certification, building standards and network operator notification. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
• To keep records of work carried out, for warranty and dispute purposes. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in being able to evidence what we installed and when.

We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to, and if you ever do opt in you can withdraw at any time.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

We do use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions only — for example our website host and the service that delivers enquiry forms to our inbox. They may not use your information for anything else.

Beyond that, we will only pass your details on where we genuinely have to: to a manufacturer when making a warranty claim for your equipment, to your electricity network operator where notification is required for a grid connection, to a certification body auditing our work, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become customers are deleted after 24 months.

Where you become a customer we keep installation records for longer, because we have to: MCS certification, product warranties and your right to make a claim all outlast the job itself. We keep those records for the life of the warranty on the system we installed, plus a reasonable period afterwards.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete it, where we do not have a legal reason to keep it
• restrict or object to how we use it
• transfer it to another provider in a portable format

Email info@maghomes.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not track you across other websites. Nothing about your visit is recorded unless you choose to submit a form.

If that changes — for example if we add analytics — we will update this notice and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

Messaging us on WhatsApp

If you contact us through WhatsApp, your message is carried by WhatsApp under their own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. We treat the content of your message the same way we treat anything else you send us, as described above.

If you are unhappy

Please tell us first — email info@maghomes.uk and we will try to put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. You do not have to come to us first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where the change is significant we will tell affected customers directly.
